Parking Lot & Entrance Construction At Boyce Thompson Arboretum

October 25th, 2012

There are improvements being made to the parking lot and entrance to Boyce Thompson Arboretum State Park. The overall construction is expected to last until April 2013. The entrance to the park will be relocated. The parking lot and entrance are anticipated to be finished by the end of January 2013. There will also be new pipe culverts and landscaping as a result of the construction. Crews will work weekdays from sunrise to sunset. The work hours will be altered to accommodate special events. The park will be open while the work is being done & crews will leave enough parking spaces for visitors.

ADOT urges drivers to use caution, follow the reduced speed limit, be on the look out for construction equipment and personnel, & plan for the possibility of unscheduled closures or restrictions.

While the project is scheduled to be completed in spring 2013, the work could be affected by weather causing a change to the projected completion date.
