January 24th, 2013

According to the Gila County Sheriff’s Office, on Jan. 21st, David Mark Fink, 50 of Riverside, Ca., was reported as being overdue by his brother in Las Vegas. The last time he heard from David was on Jan. 13th, in the late evening when David told him he was leaving Phoenix for Las Vegas & that he would be going through Globe because he had to take care of an errand.

David’s vehicle, a Black Volvo 4DR SD with California plates, was discovered at the bottom of the Salt River Canyon. His body was not in the vehicle & there was blood in its front compartment. After a further investigation, it was determined Mr. Fink was not in the vehicle when it went over the embankment. A search of the surrounding area was conducted, but Mr. Fink wasn’t found.

Based on the damage to the driver’s side windshield, Mr. Fink would have have head &/or facial trauma. Mr. Fink is 6’4″, 190 lbs, has green eyes and brown hair.

If you were traveling through the Salt River Canyon between Jan. 13th, & Jan. 20th, and saw the Mr. Fink or his vehicle on the side of the road &/or talking to someone or any suspicious activity, please call Det. Dickison of the Gila County Sheriff’s Office at 1-925-402-4311.
