Historic downtown Globe has an ‘Easter Parade & Picnic’ on Apr. 11th. According to The Globe Downtown Association:
“Join us on Saturday, April 11th at 9am for a meet & greet photo-op with the Easter Bunny and his friends at the Train Depot and a 10am Easter stroll down Broad Street in historic downtown Globe. In addition to our annual cake & punch, feel free to bring along your picnic baskets for a fun picnic basket picnic to be enjoyed anywhere in downtown.
The “Easter Parade” is based on the classic holiday movie and song with the old tradition of taking a stroll to welcome in Spring. Think hats, parasols, finery and fun. Dress yourself, your family & friends and/or your pets to impress for this walking parade/stroll down and around historic Broad Street. Participants promenade from the train depot museum to walk the sidewalks making the grand loop.
Please take your time to greet spectators and downtown merchants alike, stopping into the shops to extend your warm “Happy Easter” greetings, and window shop along the way. You never know where surprises might be hiding!!
Find the Easter Bunny and his friends throughout the event ready for free photo ops galore, and don’t forget the fabulously-fun trivia scavenger hunt!
The Easter Parade/Stroll rain or shine event is sponsored by the Globe Downtown Association/Historic Globe Main Street Program and is free to the public. For more information please message on Facebook or call 480-345-7477, 928-425-4000, or 928-425-8111.”
The event ends at 12 pm.
