On Mar. 14th, you can learn how to correctly identify & report “significant weather phenomena” while helping the public. You’ll also learn about how thunderstorms work, visually estimating wind speeds, identifying cloud features that are typically associated with tornadoes and microbursts, & how those reports are used by the National Weather Service (NWS). A Standard/Basic Class is from 10 am to 12 pm at Gila County Emergency Services at 5515 S. Apache Ave., Suite 400 in Globe. If you would like to take this class, you will need to register online or by calling 602-275-7418.
