Tonto National Forest Christmas tree permits may now be purchased online at Recreation.gov or in-person at ranger stations in Globe, Tonto Basin, Payson, Mesa, Tonto Supervisor’s Office, & Cave Creek. The Christmas tree cutting begins Nov. 18th. The permits are $15 each and good until Dec. 31st, 2023. Tonto Officials also announced, “In addition, Christmas tree permits are available for free with an Every Kid Outdoors pass.” They also note, “All online transactions are subject to a small transaction fee including the Every Kid Outdoors free Christmas tree permit.”
