Court Appointed Special Advocate Program of Arizona Academy Coming To Payson

Gila County residents who would like to volunteer as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for a child in Gila County have the chance at attending training in Gila County. The CASA of Arizona Court Appointed Special Advocate Academy is scheduled for Aug. 25th, through Aug. 27th. The training is free, but mandatory in order to become a Court Appointed Special Advocate. They note, “Those who would like to participate in this free local training opportunity are asked to complete their volunteer application by July 31, 2022, as our program must complete the background checks prior to training.” They also added, “For those who do not live in the Payson area, lodging will be provided.” You can start the process by contacting the CASA of Gila County office by calling 928-402-4427 or emailing enader@courts.az.gov. They have other trainings during the year (of which you may also attend if you’re unable to attend, but this one is specifically in Gila County thanks to the CASA of Gila County Program hosting the event.
