Gila County Is In Need Of Court Appointed Special Advocates

There are several children in Gila County who need someone to help guide & stand up for them through the court system while they have been placed in Child Protective Services or Foster Care. As a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) you can be their voice when they are afraid to speak. You must be at least 21 years of age to be a volunteer. Volunteers undergo background checks, get fingerprinted, & are interviewed before being selected. Once approved, 30 hours of training must be completed before a volunteer can be assigned their first case. This is a program that requires dedication because volunteers will need to be on hand for court to represent the child.
