Our engineers have been working on an issue concerning the feed of our newscasts over the past several days. Under normal circumstances, we receive them via satellite through our dish. It is believed the dish may be the source of the problem. This has meant a change in the way we receive, then broadcast our newscasts. The new setup has a varying recording delay at the start and end of each feed. What does this mean? It means the recordings might have silence at the start for up to at least 30 seconds, then end at their regular time potentially cutting off a portion of it. This may also cause a function in the receiver to not stop a recording which causes it to continue until it eventually gets one or one of us performs a manual override to stop it.
