The Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area in Cave Creek has some really fascinating petroglyphs placed there by the Hohokam that you can see during the Rock Art of Spur Cross Hike on June 11th (7 am to 9 am). An Interpretive Ranger or Park Docent will lead this moderate 2-hour hike. You should dress appropriately and bring water to drink. Dogs are not allowed during this hike. Registration is required as it is limited to 10 people & there is a $3 per person park entry fee. Registrations may be made by calling (602) 506-9530. Physical distancing will be in effect. Also, you will need to bring a mask to be worn during stops when the ranger is explaining items along the trail. The group will gather “at the main trailhead area where restrooms and picnic tables are located.”
